'It's about time we score some points'
This weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone, England will also see the GP2 championship points hunt continue for American, Conor Daly. Rounds 9 & 10 of the GP2 series will support the 50th British Grand Prix around what many consider to be one of the historically most significant circuits in the world.
"I love Silverstone," commented Daly. "The fast corners are a real challenge and my style suits fast corners. Its about time we scored some points and this weekend we'll put a lot of effort and focus into qualifying. I don't like starting at the back."
Daly considers Silverstone as a home race of sorts as he lived just one hour south for the past three years. Silverstone and the midlands of England are very much considered the center of the world's professional motor racing industry with many of the Formula One teams within a 50 mile radius.
"My Lazarus GP team will bring their great Italian flair and emotion to the 'cottage industry' of racing here in England," said Daly. "They are in full bore points scoring mode. We have all the pieces and the engineering talent - we just have to put it all together when it counts."
