The street circuits of Monaco and Valencia being archived, GP2 Series heads to United Kingdom for the seventh round of the season that will be run on the very fast circuit of Silverstone.
Stefano Coletti reaches UK with a strong desire to turn the page after a series of unfortunate episodes that took him out from the fight for top positions in the recent races. The Monegasque has been author of a stunning recover last year in Silverstone as he climbed all the way from the twenty-first spot of the grid to the seventh final place of a Feature Race run on mixed wet-dry conditions, showing his huge potential in the first year of GP2 racing.
In this occasion the unquestionable value of Scuderia Coloni and the higher experience in the series will be very good basis for the weekend that, as tradition, could be influenced by rain that is scheduled to fall heavily between Friday and Sunday.
Stefano Coletti:
"All the British tracks have a particular flavour and the atmosphere that one can breath at Silverstone during the Formula One weekend is probably the real soul of motorsport. This has been quite a peculiar season for me so far: performance was never lacking but in several occasions episodes played against me therefore this time I am motivated to get a good result in the race. The possible rain does not worry me much as it can be an ally of mine considering that I have always been at ease on wet conditions ".
