Coletti gets the second row of the grid in Bahrain

The weekend's programme will continue tomorrow with the Feature Race scheduled for 14.45 (CEST). The Sprint Race will take place on Sunday at 9.50.

After the stunning debut in Malaysia a month ago, Stefano Coletti confirmed himself as one of the main protagonists of the GP2 Series in Bahrain that will be housing the second round of the season this weekend.

The Monegasque driving for team Rapax was third in this morning's free practice (1'42.628) and in qualifying he decided to use early on both set of new tyres available staying in the pits in the finale.

The session ended with the fourth quickest time (1'40.585) which will allow him to start the feature race from the second row of the grid.

The pole position went to Fabio Leimer (Racing Engineering), who was followed by Marcus Ericsson (Dams) and Felipe Nasr (Carlin).

Stefano Coletti: "The car confirmed to be quite well balanced as happened this morning in free practice. Even if I pushed quite hard the perfect lap I wanted could not get out: the second quickest time was probably doable but we are competitive and we have the concrete chance of doing great things in the race".
