The GP2 Series teams met today at the Paul Ricard HTTT for a two days test session.

The 26 drivers were present at the track, except Nicolas Lapierre (Arden International), still not fit to drive after his accident at the last Monaco Grand Prix. This test session saw the return of the French driver Olivier Pla (DPR Direxiv), recovered from his wrist injury during the same Grand Prix.

Drivers, who completed over 5700 km on the 3D track solution (3,853 km), had a shiny weather and hot temperatures (up to 35°C in air).

Today's lap time was set by iSport International team with Timo Glock in 01:14.522, still far from the overall best lap time of the last test session on the same track solution (José Maria Lopez, 01:12.547, mars 2006).

Drivers and teams will continue testing tomorrow for a second and last test day at the Paul Ricard HTTT.
