Bayer Italia is set to extend the agreement with Trident Racing through the 2008 Season. The team - owned by Maurizio Salvadori - will count on the Company`s support in both the GP2 Asia Series and the GP2 Main Series. After the successful 2006 and 2007 seasons, the Italian Corporate decided to pair its on-track activities with a brand-new communication plan dedicated to young people and called "Fast on Track, NOT on Road".

Thanks to the GP2 Series environment and Trident Racing, the "Bayer per lo Sport" brand, as well as the solidarity project itself, will count on a great and highly-targeted media exposure, even better than the one reached by an ordinary TV advertising campaign. The Formula One`s second-tier series will benefit from a complete coverage: the races will be broadcasted in 96 countries, as more than 40 hours of live coverage were carried on the Italian TV in 2007.

Moreover, the reference target of the GP2 Series` communication proved to be almost totally in-line with the one that the Bayer Group is trying to reach in order to spread the values of healthy competition, awareness and fair-play. Of course, young people are the main target and, according to the latest data, the 67% of the GP2 Series and Trident Racing fan base is under the age of 34.

In an attempt to strengthen the message proposed by the "Fast on Track, NOT on Road" project, the team will offer its drivers as public endorsers. The driver line-up will feature Honda Formula 1 tester Mike Conway, Ho-Pin Tung (the first Chinese driver in the GP2 Series) and Harald Schlegelmilch, involved in both the GP2 Asia Series and the new Formula Master International Series operations.
