This weekend the GP2 Series moves on to Nurburgring for the German Formula 1 Grand Prix. After the good results at Siverstone, Barwa Addax Team, Jake Rosenzweig and Rio Haryanto are really pumped up to race at this weekend’s event with the hope of confirming their performances and consolidate their position in the championship.

Although the German GP has the peculiarity of alternating between two circuits, Hockenheim and Nurburgring, Barwa Addax Team has always been one of the most competitive teams at this event. Cecotto won the corresponding race last season for the Spanish team, Charles Pic finished second in 2011, after driving a magnificent race, but it was Checo Pérez who produced the best performance in the 2010 season when he won one race and finished second in the other.

Jake Rosenzweig, continues making progress in what is his rookie season in this class, showing signs of his professionality at all times and offering more positives than negatives as he looks to develop at this level. He has worked very hard and well but lady luck has not always been at his side, whether through unfortunate incidents, injuries, tyre failure etc. However, Jake will compete in Germany full of confidence knowing that he will receive his compensation for all his efforts sooner or later.

Rio Haryanto, raced last season in this event in the GP2 Series and put up a good showing. After his performances in Silverstone, where he made podium for the first time in his sporting career at this level, Rio wants to consolidate his position among the leading drivers this season and so improve his possibilities, knowing full well that he has the complete backing of a team that has guided most of its drivers to formula 1 status.

Rio Haryanto, Barwa Addax Team official driver: "Coming to Nurburgring after a podium finish in Silverstone it's a great feeling, I think I like the circuit because I have won a gp3 race there in Nurburgring. I'm hoping that we could score more points this weekend or maybe another podium finish."

The timetable for this weekend’s event will be the same as almost all the European Grand Prix: GMT + 2. On Friday 5th of July the free practice gets under way at 12.00 hrs and the qualifying session will start on the same day at 15.55 hrs. The first race begins at 15.40 hrs on Saturday the 6th and will be competed for over 34 laps (175.032 kilometres) and on the following day, Sunday 7th July, the second race gets under way at 10.30 hrs over 24 laps, (123.552 Kilometres)
