More points for van der Garde, eventful race for Al Fardan.

GFH team iSport duo Giedo van der Garde and Hamad Al Fardan both had strong performances in an exciting feature race at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Dutch driver Giedo van der Garde, who has never raced at the BIC before now, finished 7th and Bahraini driver Hamad Al Fardan finished 12th after starting from 16th on the grid.

Rookie GFH team iSport driver Giedo van der Garde drove a composed race from 6th on the grid losing just one place after being boxed in by Piquet Sports driver Roland Rodriguez at the start. With many cars making contact with one another, van der Garde kept his cool to bring the GFH team iSport car home in 7th place and scoring 2 more points.

Bahrain native and GFH team iSport driver Hamad Al Fardan had a difficult start and after running wide at turn 13 on the first lap had dropped to 21st place. But Al Fardan fought back and yet again showed his speed and skill at overtaking by passing many much more experienced GP2 racers to finish a respectable 12th.

Giedo van der Garde will start tomorrow's sprint race from 2nd on the reverse grid and Hamad Al Fardan will start 12th. The race starts at 1pm local time.
