Disaster strikes again for Bakkerud After having been called in by the FIA for a compulsory weighing of car and driver during the final stage of the qualifying yesterday, Christian Bakkerud ended up rejoining the session too late and as a result, lost out on a chance to set a competitive lap time. This meant that the Dane started from 19th position on the grid in today's feature race. Although Christian tried everything to avoid any involvement in the inevitable first lap incidents, Bakkerud was hit on the side which damaged the car and ended his chances of finishing the race.

"Another race and yet another disappointment" - said Christian from the circuit after the race. "There just seems to be no end to all the trouble at the moment. In qualifying I was in the top ten on my first set of new tyres when I got called in by the FIA. This is something we all have to do and they pick random cars so I wasn't concerned about that but the car got stuck on the weighing equipment and when they finally got me off it there wasn't enough time for me to even set one more lap time. The car is really quick so I know that I would have had a chance to start in the top ten but some higher force decided that I shouldn't by the looks of things!"

"Today I was being ever so careful to try and get through the first lap to get a chance to advance but this proved to be fruitless exercise as well and again I ended up with nothing. It's all very very frustrating."
