Ricardo Teixeira completed his day in 24th after having been assessed a drive-through penalty from the race stewards.
After starting from the pole, Nathanael Berthon dominated the whole 28-lap distance by holding the lead from start to finish.
Both Trident Racing drivers ended up up in the crash at the start. While Ceccon was out of the action, Berthon did manage to finish the first race of the weekend.
Trident Racing's Kevin Ceccon and Nathanael Berthon started respectively from the 5th and 11th row on the grid on today's Race 1.
The GP2 Series weekend in Bahrain will be featuring Race 2 tomorrow.
