The curtain comes down on the GP2 series
Abu Dhabi, 14 November 2010 -- Davide Valsecchi emerged as the winner of Race 2 in this Arab adventure for the GP2 series at the Yas Marina circuit, hosting the tenth and final round of the series, alongside the final round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The Sport International driver took first place ahead of Luiz Razia (Rapax) and Romain Grosjean (Dams.) Jules Bianchi came home eighth at the wheel of one of the two cars entered by the Art Grand Prix team, making up no less than ten places from his grid position. Failing to score points, the French driver, who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, has ended up third overall in the Drivers' Championship behind Sergio Perez, another youngster, who has only recently joined the Maranello nursery. The Mexican, who drives for the Barwa Addax Team secured second place in the championship, behind series winner, Pastor Maldonado, even though his race only lasted a few laps, after a collision with Sam Bird.
