Three international tire manufacturer contingencies announced for SCCA Pro Racing/Wka Constructors Championship.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (July 2, 2002) - SCCA Pro Racing, Ltd. and the World Karting Association (WKA) announced today that three International tire manufacturers will participate in the 2002 Constructors Championship series with contingency awards.

As part of the tire contingency program, Bridgestone, Dunlop and MG will each be offering a set of tires to the race winner in ICC (CIK, Intercontinental C) and ICA (CIK, Intercontinental A) events, if they use the company's tires in the race.

Dunlop will be also offering any Dunlop-shod year-end champion in ICC and ICA a set of tires, as well as offering a special deal on all tires for the 2003 season.

"Having three major tire manufacturers pledge their support to the Constructors Championship shows just how important this series is becoming in the karting world," said Randy Kugler, World Karting Association President. "As we approach our first race in less than a month, our contingency programs are really beginning to take shape."

The tire contingency program comes on the heels of last week's engine and chassis manufacturer contingency announcement.
