DONAHER SCORES BELATED WIN IN INDY V8 BRutes FALCON driver Mick 'The Don' Donaher today was declared winner of the third race of round five of the Poolrite V8 BRute Muster, completing a clean sweep for Ford ute drivers on the Gold Coast Indy street circuit this weekend.

Donaher had finished second in the race, run yesterday, but was elevated to first after original winner Charlie 'Handlebars' Kovacs was penalised by stewards at a hearing today.

The stewards charged Kovacs with starting his Holden Commodore from a grid position two spots ahead of where he qualified, after another competitor failed to take the position.

The stewards' 60-second penalty effectively put Kovacs last on the finishing list. He has appealed, but no date has been set for a hearing.

Steve 'Robbo' Robinson (Falcon) and James 'Brocky' Brock (Commodore) moved up to second and third places in the amended result.

Despite wins to Falcon drivers Ian McAlister on Friday and Damien 'Ice' White on Thursday, the series lead remains with Holden's Rod 'Redline' Wilson.

Wilson has 643 points to White's 628, with the last round set for Melbourne on 2 December.
