10. Feature a photo of the 917? The Goodwood Festival of Speed is as good of an excuse as we need. That aggressive stance has often been copied but never replicated. And Goodwood is a magnificent celebration of motor racing to boot.
9. Two wheels up for the Bentley Continental GT3, a favored car of ours in case you haven't noticed. On its way to winning at Paul Ricard last weekend.
8. Mark our words, Formula E will surprise many people. They are going after a totally different demographic (read: non-gearheads, more like tech-heads), the races will be in city centres, and the driver lineup in these teams is beyond impressive for a first season. Mark your calendars for September for the first race in Beijing.
7. Slightly gimmicky perhaps, but we dig the initiative and imagination from the Respol Media photographers. The dynamic nature of motorcycle racing makes this more of a success than, say, doing the same with a car.
6. Only at Goodwood can you see a classic Lotus F1 passing a Transit van...Bonus points if you spot Max Papis in the background sporting the Dow logo on his firesuit.
5. Streaks of trees and grey buildings of the Norisring.
4. Another week, another photo of Marc Marquez. Sorry folks, but the kid just makes photos.
3. Lets count the American clichés in this photo: Goodyear, Ford, burnout, Murrican flag, special Murrican paint-scheme, #itsmillertime
2. Impressive dust cloud and the affect the spinning rear wheels have on the dirt in the late evening light makes for some highly interesting images. If you came here looking for another WRC jumping photos (we have those too) from Rally Poland, sorry. You'll have to see the event gallery.
1. Pikes Peak is unique. It is both exquisite and terrible at once. Deadly and exhilarating. This sums up the race to the clouds.
