Horion eighth and Dermont again in the points

Qualifying for the Porsche Michelin Supercup in Barcelona was a further confirmation of the strength of the series which supports the Formula 1 circus in Europe plus the Bahrain and Indianapolis (USA) grand prix. Excitement and close competition at the highest of levels form the basis of the action with the first 11 cars of 26 covered by less than one second.

The two Muhlner drivers, David Dermont (Number 9) und Geoffroy Horion (Number 10) started from 16th and 8th respectively.

After a turbulent first few laps, Horion, who at one stage was up to P5, dropped back to P7. Shortly afterwards he lost another place before the field settled down and he finally finished in 8th place. Dermont drove a lonely race to 15th. However, as there were a few non points-scoring guest starters in Barcelona, Horion collected 10 points and Dermont 4 to add to their championship tally.

All in all a reasonable weekend for the Spa-Francorchamps based Muhlner Motorsport Team, who run in the Porsche Michelin Supercup in the Belgian national colours with the support of the Belgian Porsche Importers D'Ieteren.
