LAS VEGAS - The dirt track at LVMS will host the Rocky Mountain Pullers this Saturday night, while on Sunday the superspeedway will be rocked by the country sounds of the George Strait Chevy Truck Country Music Festival.
Trucks and tractors with over 6,000 horsepower will be pulling sleds weighing upwards of 44,000 pounds, equivalent to the weight of a standard three-bedroom home, across the dirt track this Saturday night.
The Pullers are returning to the Las Vegas area after a 15-year absence.
"We're very excited to bring the truck-and-tractor pulls back for the fans of Las Vegas," said David Stetzer, director of short track events for LVMS. "This event is sure to provide some dirt-throwing excitement for everyone who comes out."
George Strait headlines a country music extravaganza at the superspeedway on Sunday night. The artist line-up includes Alan Jackson, Lonestar, Lee Ann Womak, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans and Asleep at the Wheel.
Admission for the Truck and Tractor Pull is $18 for adults, $15 for senior/military and $6 for children under 12. Puller tickets are available through the LVMS ticket office at (800) 644-4444 or online at www.tickets.com.
