Braselton, Ga.- Road Atlanta's first season of the new millennium will feature thirteen spectator events and a special opportunity for race fans to purchase exclusive season passes.
The fourth annual Petit Le Mans will be held October 3-6. The 10 hour or 1,000-mile American Le Mans Series race is quickly becoming a favorite with fans. This year 55,000 fans flocked to Road Atlanta to see the stunning battles between Audi and Panoz in the prototype class, Viper and Corvette in the GTS class and Porsche and BMW in the GT class. The 2001 race will also include Europe's popular LMP 675 class.
The busy Petit Le Mans weekend will also feature a number of additional races from series such as Speedvision World Challenge. Interactive displays in the infield and paddock access will provide entertainment off the track. Once again, Speedvision will provide live flag-to-flag coverage of the Petit Le Mans race.
