Looking back on the season, I can honestly say it was filled with exciting racing, where you just didn't know how things would play out until the end! We all hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed racing. Congratulations to all the drivers at the track on a great season.
We put up a good fight last weekend, literally, and finished in a strong second for the season. The race took on a little flavor of a hockey game out on the track when a car tangled with us and put us both into the wall. That ended our day.
It was pretty warm and the track got a little slick, so some of the cars were getting a little squirrelly. Once again, my crew did an outstanding job getting us ready to race. The car was handling great. We started fifth in the feature and were in contention for first place.
I was patient in moving up to give everyone a chance to settle into the 50-lap race. After and hour, we were only 19 laps into the race. It seemed there were a few problems out there for everyone. The driver, with which we were competing for first place for the season, was having mechanical problems. It looked like he may have problems finishing, giving us an opportunity to slide into first. But you know what they say, 'That's racing, you just don't know how it's going to end.' We got taken out and finished 15th for the race, but second for the season.
To everyone who has helped me this year through his or her individual support, from the stands, the pits, or by supporting my sponsors, I thank you. This could not be possible without you. We will keep you updated on how things are shaping up for next year. We got some exciting possibilities.
My IRL test, scheduled for this month, has been temporarily postponed. We will keep you posted about that as well.
GAS IT UP,
