Racing for Kids Club, Inc. (RFKC) is a non-profit organization open to kids ages 10-16 who want to learn about and drive race cars and compete on a local level.

Several years ago, the club was founded by adult race car drivers whose children wanted to learn to race. It is a family oriented club, where everyone is encouraged to participate in all activities.

RFKC has board meetings and seminars (on-track practice) where the kids are taught all aspects of racing. They're taught safety, sportsmanship, responsibility, and maintenance. They are also instructed on the rules and regulations of the race track.

All cars and drivers must have the following: fire suit, gloves, approved helmet, neck brace, fire extinguisher, 4-point roll cage, 4-point safety harness, kill switch, and a stock 4-cylinder automobile. The club has their own rule book, which adheres to the track safety rules along with additional rules determined by RFKC.

In the junior class; the driver must have a board approved experienced co-rider. All new drivers are classified in this division. They must attend three on-track seminars to qualify for competition with board and parental approval.

The senior class has the option of driving solo. They are promoted to this class by their ability to show they have learned the proper skills to do so. The approval for promotions is decided by the board and parents.

The Racing for Kids Club, Inc. stresses the importance of good citizenship and good academic merit. RFKC also takes pride in supporting the “Just Say NO!” campaign. We would like our children to take pride in their accomplishments on and off the track.

All members are required to attend club functions and be an active participant in fund raisers; which are needed to offset the cost of insurance and trophies, etc. The club is required to provide their own insurance for every race and seminar.

Visitors are welcome to visit the club at the seminars (Auburndale Speedway) or at our board meetings.

Thank you for your interest in our unique club.
