Round two ends with a wash-out.

The second heat of round two of the 2003 Australian Sports Sedan Championship was called off after heavy rain made racing too hazardous.

It was scheduled to run over ten laps with the top ten finishers from heat one starting in reverse order and would have been the last race on the program.

However race and category officials were unified in agreeing that conditions had deteriorated to such a point that damage would have occurred. "We would have lost cars, there is no doubt of that," said one official after the decision.

The Australian Sports Sedan Championship's third round will see the category as the top bill at South Australia's Mallala Motor Sport Raceway. The event is on weekend of May 30 to June 1.

The next round of the Trans Tasman Trophy where five New Zealand Tranzam cars will compete will take place at Winton Raceway in Victoria on August 1-3.
