WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA (August 23, 1998) -The racing accident at Moroso Motorsports Park on July 18, 1998, that claimed the life of Ft. Myers Beach racer John Davis has claimed its second victim, Phil Kane. The Delray Beach, Florida resident was known to his racing friends by the nickname "PK." He was working the corner where Davis' car hit the concrete barrier. Kane sustained critical injuries in that accident. On Sunday he lost his battle to recover from a crushed pelvis and numerous injuries to internal organs.

Phil was a member of the Sports Car Club of America for more than 20 years and his "racing family" will miss him very much. He was involved in both the Florida Region and the Central Florida Region.

Information about the funeral arrangements will be provided when it becomes available.
