Allstar Race Truck Series new Northeast Region Race Director named.

It was announced by Bob Gelsi, Eastern Series Director, at the Northeast Region's 2002 banquet on January 18th that Mike Hammond will assume the responsibilities of the Race Director for their region.

Mike has been involved in racing for many years and with ARTS for the past 3 years. Mike was a drag racer for 5 years with over 50 wins. Mike was involved in Mini Cup racing for 3 years with Mark Piekarski as the Dealer and Race Director. With Mike's experience in all of the aspects of running a touring series, he will be a great asset to the series. Mike can be reached at hammondmotorsports@hotmail.com.

Along with Mike joining the ARTS staff, will be the return of two members who started ARTS racing in the Northeast. John Delana, who was the original dealer for ARTS, will be returning in a supporting role assisting us in the growth of the future. Also returning as Specialty Tech Inspector is Todd Stiles. Todd has had many years as a Tech for the local track in the area and his knowledge is second to none.

Scott Michie will also be joining the Northeast staff. Scott is currently with the Mid-Atlantic Region of ARTS as the Safety Inspector, Assistant Race Director, and Chief Starter and will assist Mike with Safety Inspection and Chief Starter. Scott was with Flemington Speedway for over 25 years and has been with ARTS for 3 years. Scott has been a great asset to the Mid-Atlantic Region and will bring his knowledge and experience to the Northeast Region.
