MIAMI – (Jan. 19, 2016) – Motorsport.com, a technologically advanced international network of online auto racing content with operations in 15 countries, today announced the acquisition of U.K.-based e-commerce platform OnPole.com.

As part of the acquisition, Motorsport.com will launch its all-new e-commerce digital platform, Motorstore.com. Full integration of Motorstore.com is expected to launch in 2016.

Motorstore.com will feature the largest selection of apparel and accessories across all major motorsports series, including Formula 1, featuring such iconic brands as Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, and others.

“When evaluating opportunities to further develop our store and take it to the next level, and probably into the largest e-commerce store in the world, Motorsport.com was the only digital media business worthy of such a huge program,” said Tracey Whitmore, General Manager of Onpole.com. “Taking into consideration the possibilities, Motorstore.com will surely be the one-stop e-commerce solution for everything racing.”

Furthering its international growth strategy, Motorstore.com will launch its private label of lines of merchandise from Motorsport.com’s renowned F1 technical analyst Giorgio Piola.

“Acquiring OnPole.com further expands Motorsport.com’s brand as the most comprehensive motorsports digital platform in the world,” said Gustavo A. Roche, vice president of business development, Motorsport.com. “The breadth of the assortment of our merchandise collection coupled with the ease of navigation will provide our online readership with an incredible online shopping experience.”

The acquisition continues Motorsport.com’s strategic business initiative of standardizing - through acquisition and in-house development - the industry’s largest motorsports e-commerce platform and supports the company’s growth into data, technology and e-commerce.

The fastest-growing motorsports website in the world, Motorsport.com is a US-based technology and multimedia company which provides worldwide motor sports coverage in over 180 countries.
