Most Is The Host... For The European Le Mans Series Round 4!

Bicester, UK, Tuesday 19th June 2001: The new venue for Round 4 of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) is confirmed as Most, the Czech circuit situated north-west of Prague. The event will take place over the weekend of 4th/5th August.

Most replaces Salzburgring, after the Austrian circuit was unable to meet deadlines for key safety improvements. The appointment of Most, a 'spectator friendly' 2.5 mile circuit close to the German border, is a major coup for the ELMS, as Chief Executive John Macdonald explains.

"We have been well supported by circuits and the public at the first two rounds and Most will be no exception. The circuit was attracted by the ELMS formula of providing the fans with competitive, world class sportscar racing and has promised a crowd of over 50,000. Their set-up is impressive and we are delighted to be working with them.

"The European Le Mans Series is building momentum, its attendance figures after two rounds confirm its public appeal, the live and highlighted television packages are unrivalled and circuits want to be associated with Europe's premier sportscar series."

The third round of the ELMS takes place at Estoril, Portugal, over the weekend of 14th/15th July, where many of the cars and stars competing will have come directly from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
