Together with the Formula One world championship, the Porsche Michelin Supercup competed in Monza in Sunday September 12.

The special guest of this round was Matteo Bobbi. Matteo Bobbi who was unfamiliar with this championship, was on board the Porsche VIP car. Matteo Bobbi had the opportunity to partake in this championship on his home turf and in front of his fans.

Even though Matteo had never driven this type of car before, regardless of a little problem at the start that made him slot down to the last place and despite the rain, Matteo climbed his up 14 positions and finished the race in 11th place.

"It was a great experience and I need to thank the Porsche sports organization for all of this.

Unfortunately a problem with the clutch didn't allow me to participate in the free practice session on Friday and this definitely penalized my performance.

In fact, I only got into the car that was a mystery to me, on Saturday during the qualifications,

In spite of this, I was able to run not far beyond the others. This session was really a way for me to get to know the car and all of its characteristics.

This type of Porsche is very fun and nice to drive .So I knew that I could have had a good race on Sunday in front of all the Formula One fans.

Regrettably, I had a problem at the start. In this championship, you start when you are at a full stop but in the FIA GT championship we take off after a launch lap and so I wasn't used to the this new start. I also didn't get a chance to get to the know car in great depth . In any case, I didn't lose hope and even if I was last after the first corner, I started to climb my way up and overtook almost 15 adversaries. All this under the rain that was coming down hard and that didn't help the situation.I would like to thank Porsche again and Michelin as well for this invitation and hope that I'll get a chance to drive these cars again some day."
