Victorville, CA Hurricane Heidi Tresler has been preparing for this race for the last 7 years. After finishing 3rd in the points race at Victorville Auto Raceway in the 410 class this year, Hurricane Heidi is ready for her final race of the season at the Turkey Classic at Victorville Auto Raceway this Saturday and Sunday. Heidi finished 3rd in points in that class in 2007.
Hurricane Heidi was accepted into The Lynn St. James' Academy for female drivers and went to the first weekend of classes 2 weeks ago. The courses focus on mental and physical training. There was a doctor and a nutritionist there to teach classes.on how to and when to eat. They tailored a program for Heidi to do when she got home. The program consists of diet, and exercises, both physical and mental, which includes homework every day which will help her to focus on winning races.
The smoking hot 19 year old has been busy this year with testing a 4 cylinder El Mirage Car once owned by Mario Andretti, then she attempted to break the world land speed record at El Mirage in that car. Hurricane Heidi also tested a NASCAR Whelen Series Late Model at Madera Speedway twice this year with Gary Collins as crew chief. One of the days they were testing the high temperature was 118 degrees, a record and it didn't affect her at all. Collins said " She did real well out there and she's good listener. She has potential".
In 2009 Heidi plans to run some SRL Races in the GoLiveStream Car with Gary Collins running the program. Gary Collins was one of the founders of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and one of the Collins Family that owned and ran Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield California for 28 years..She will also be running some races in her 410 Sprint Car at Paris and Victorville with Don Azevedo crew chiefing that car.
