Bicester, UK, Monday 14th May 2001: Since becoming an integral part of international endurance racing three years ago the 'Le Mans Series' has been setting new standards around the world in terms of atmosphere, race excitement and the quality of the drivers and competing cars. That quality was emphasised at Le Mans qualifying recently when teams competing in this weekends second round of the European Le Mans Series at Jarama, Spain posted fastest times in three of the four racing categories.

An impressive grid is confirmed for Jarama, and at 13:00 local time on Sunday the worlds best sportscars and their drivers line-up for the formation lap and an exciting rolling start to the second round of the ELMS. The European Le Mans Series is based upon the principals of high quality racing and accessibility for spectators with driver autograph sessions and affordable ticket prices. With marques such as Audi, BMW, Porsche, Panoz, Saleen and Callaway competing this weekend at the twisting circuit of Jarama, the crowd - over 20,000 anticipated - are sure to join the ranks of satisfied customers enjoying sportscar racing at the highest level. Drivers set to compete include ex-formula 1 stars JJ Lehto, David Brabham and Stefan Johansson along with Le Mans 24 hour winners Emanuele Pirro and Tom Kristensen.

Round three of the European Le Mans Series takes place in Estoril, Portugal on 14th / 15th July.
