Britain - ‘Svansong’ for Astra in RAC Rally...
Per Svan gave the old style Opel Astra a fitting farewell in Britain’s round of the World Rally Championship when he finished third in the competitive F2 section of the RAC Rally. Svan, driving for the Swedish Opel Dealer Team, was pitched against a tough field of kit-car specification machines and put in a splendid performance to bring the Astra home third after three days of hard forest action in the southern half of Britain.
