Mark Fish Motorsport's Irish newcomer, Erik Holstein made a stunning Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec debut at Brands Hatch last weekend, taking sixth place in race one and a fine third place in race two on Sunday.
Holstein - a top showjumper in his native Ireland - gave a faultless performance despite being pitted against seasoned Fiesta competitors such as Colin Stancombe and Nick Padley.
The Irishman was classified in seventh position for race one but was later promoted to sixth place. Sunday's second leg saw him challenge for the overall race lead, despite his unfamiliarity with the car and difficult conditions which could be attributed to a drying track.
Holstein was forced to rescue his Mark Fish Motorsport-run Fiesta 1.4 Zetec from a lurid ninety-degree slide, before going on to claim an impressive third place, his inaugural Ford Fiesta Zetec podium position and two of the Festival's coveted drivers cups.
Team principal Mark Fish commented: "Erik gave an outstanding performance on his Ford Fiesta debut, despite racing against the more experienced Fiesta Zetec championship competitors.
"He showed incredible car control in very tricky conditions and didn't seem to be at all phased by the transition from four legs to four wheels! I'd certainly be very interested to see him back on a horse after his amazing save!"
