Jan Magnussen, driving a Team Den Blaa Avis Toyota Corolla, jumped into the lead of the Danish Touring Car Championship, DTC, when the 8th round was run at Padborg Park.

A fourth place in the prefinale and a second place in the finale brought Jan Magnussen to the top of the table in front of Casper Elgaard, BMW with only one round remaining.

Jan Magnussen fought with an ill-handling car in both races and was involved in a lot of close racing on the rain soaked track. In the start of race two Jan Magnussens Toyota was pushed sideways by John Nielsens BMW, but Magnussen managed to fight back and with second place he inherited the lead of the championship.

Jan Magnussen's Team Den Blaa Avis is now looking at ways of getting Jan Magnussen flown from Petit Le Mans, where he is driving for Corvette, to Denmark in a private jet for the finale round. But with only 11 hours between the two races it will possibly mean that Magnussen will have to start at the back of the field.
