SCCA Pro RacinG/WKA Constructors Championship introduces bonus program.

TOPEKA, Kan. (December 9, 2002) - SCCA Pro Racing and the World Karting Association (WKA) today introduced the Constructors Championship Bonus Program, offering free entries to 2002 junior champions as well as select drivers from the Manufacturers' Cup and IKF Region Seven and 11.

As part of the program, the winning drivers in ICC, ICA, Yamaha SuperCan, 80cc Shifter Junior and Cadet competition in the George Kugler Manufacturers' Cup Series Presented by Bridgestone Margay Sprint Championship weekend, at Daytona International Speedway December 27-30, 2002, will receive free entries for all eight rounds of the 2003 Constructors Championship, valued at $1200 per class.

"This program adds another exciting element to this year's event at Daytona," said Randy Kugler, World Karting Association President. "It is a great opportunity for drivers in the Manufacturers' Cup to also compete in the Constructors Championship next season."

In addition, International Karting Federation (IKF) Region Seven and Region 11 Champions from ICC, Yamaha SuperCan, 80cc Shifter Junior and Cadet will receive free entries at four rounds of the 2003 Constructors Championship, valued at $600 per class.

The final part of the Bonus Program involves rewarding the 2002 Constructors Championship junior champions with free entries for four rounds of the 2003 season. The junior champions were Jordan Johnson, Robbie Pecorari and Joe King. This program is also valued at $600 per driver.

"We feel that it is important to recognize the junior champions in our series," said Mitch Wright, SCCA Pro Racing Vice President and General Manager. "This program rewards the hard work these drivers put in last season and provides financial incentives to run with the series in 2003."

In total, the Bonus Program will offer over $10,000 in free entry fees to drivers and teams for next year's Constructors Championship season. For more information on the SCCA Pro Racing/WKA Constructors Championship, please visit www.sccapro.com/constructors.
