Australia's Multi-cultural network SBS has announced a new weekly 1 hour Motor Sport show starting Saturday November 26 at 3.30 EDST. SPEEDWEEK will be hosted by Steve (brother of Mike) Raymond and will cover all forms of Motor Sport but will especially concentrate on Drag Racing and Speedway.

Produced by Australian Video Entertainment -- the producers of Nine's Speed Machine and Pole Position on SKY -- Speedweek has been signed for an initial run of around 30 weeks.

The show strengthens SBS's commitment to Motor Sport which currently includes coverage of AUSCAR and NASCAR as well as the Sandown 500. Any decision on further Motor Sport coverage on SBS will depend on feedback to the new programme.
