Round 6, Oulton Park, Cheshire
Monday 29th May

Anthony Davidson continued his climb up the Formula Ford Zetec Championship table with a 3rd place finish in round 6 of the series at Oulton Park. He is now in 3rd place in the championship in his BIC sponsored Haywood Racing Mygale.

Anthony raced from 7th on the grid to reach 2nd place in just 3 laps. He closed onto the gearbox of race leader James Courtney and looked set to overtake the Australian.

"I thought the race was mine," said Davidson, "but my car went away from me and James slowly edged clear."

For the final laps of the race, Davidson came under pressure from fellow British driver, Mark Taylor. Taylor made it through before the final lap and Anthony crossed the line in 3rd place. He is now only behind Courtney and Taylor in the championship.

Anthony endured his worst qualifying session of the season on Sunday as his Mygale developed a gearbox problem with the car jumping out of second gear. He will be hoping for a change in fortune and a win at the next round of the Formula Ford Zetec Championship at Silverstone on June 10/11.
