Aaron comes through problems at Thruxton.

Weybridge race ace Aaron Scott returned to Thruxton for rounds 6 & 7 of the Elf Clio Renault Sport UK Cup.

After a heavy testing shunt at Brands Hatch during the preceding week, the Tim Norton team did a great job to rebuild Aaron's Omnico backed car.

Scott qualified 16th for the two races. In race 1, the youngster had a bad start and after a red fag and safety car period he finished 16th. Aaron opted to save the car for the later race rather than risking damage to the car for small points.

In race 2 Aaron made a good start but got boxed in at the complex dropping him to 18th at the end of lap 1. However he managed to battle back to 10th place at the finish.

Aaron said "It's been a tough week for me and the team - we're disappointed with the result. We are still struggling with power and will have to look into what we can do to fix the problem. We're slower now than in testing earlier in the year. The boys at Tim Norton are superb though and I know we'll get it sorted, it's a team effort."

The next race is at Brands Hatch on 30 June.
