Weybridge race driver Aaron Scott was at Croft for Round 9 of the Elf Clio Renault Sport UK Cup on Sunday.

After a strong run of top ten finishes Aaron went into the race lying 10th in Championship and hoping to add to his points tally in the Omnico backed car.

Aaron and the Tim Norton team gambled on a radical set up change for qualifying and ended up 16th fastest with the car not working as they had hoped.

For the race a few changes were made and Aaron made a cracking start to get in to 13th place at the end of lap 1. From there he managed to pick off a few cars to bring the car home in 10th place. In doing so he also moved up to 8th place in the Championship.

Aaron said, " It was the best result we could hope for after a difficult qualifying session. We are still learning more about the car and are getting stronger with each race."

The next race takes place at Snetterton on July 28.
