Sport Commision Rules: Patrick Huisman is Champion Horst Farnbacher Loses Title

Stuttgart. Patrick Huisman is the Porsche-Pirelli-SuperCup Champion. The 31-year-old Dutchman secured the title in this championship which wound up two weeks ago at the Luxembourg Grand Prix on the Nurburgring. Piloting his 911 Cup 3.8 of the Manthey Racing Team (Bonn) Huisman scored three victories and consistent top results over the season. Oliver Mathai (Walker Gillet-Manthey Racing), shares the same overall points tally as Huisman, however takes runner-up laurels because of less wins during the season.

Horst Farnbacher (D, Zepter Racing-Farnbacher) was first in the final race at the Grand Prix of Luxembourg, and such, was announced as champion. He loses the title after a routine technical inspection by Porsche AG technicans at the Weissach Research and Development Centre found illegal manipulations in his car.

As a result of the technical findings by Porsche AG, Horst Farnbacher attended a hearing on Friday 10 October with the ONS Sport Commission. He was penalized with the withdrawl of his points earned in the final round. Horst Farnbacher declared that he will not be making an appeal.

With Farnbacher's loss of points the final championship standings have changed as follows:
