ARDC CARQUEST Midgets - Be A Part Of It In 1998!
Easton, Pa., December 6 -- The American Racing Drivers Club (ARDC) CARQUEST Midget Series will celebrate its 59th year of Midget racing with their season opener at Silver Spring Speedway in April of 1998. The club continues to flourish in this new era of ARDC CARQUEST Midget racing as many drivers from the Micro Sprint and Mini Sprint divisions join their ranks.
In 1998, ARDC is also opening opportunities for members of the racing community to become a part of their organization as an ARDC CARQUEST Midget Race Official. If you have prior experience and/or knowledge as a Race Director, a Scorer, a Pit Steward or a Tech Inspector, ARDC is interested in your skills and would like you to consider becoming a part of their team. As ARDC's Business Manager, Mike Roselli explains, "As the resurgence of ARDC continues, all of our members can be proud to be a part of such a great organization. The professionalism that ARDC displays from the race tracks to its Newsletter does not go unnoticed. We have taken a very big step as we prepare for the next generation of racers and, as we approach the 1998 season, we must continue to promote our club, our sponsors and our race tracks in the most professional way we can. It is up to each and every member to contribute in our endeavor to become one of the finest Midget clubs in the country."
The ARDC search for qualified race officials presents opportunities for qualified individuals to become recognized for their ability and professionalism by many others throughout the racing world. It will also provide the chance to travel with this historical racing organization to some of the premier dirt and asphalt speedways on the East Coast.
Individuals who are interested in being considered as an ARDC CARQUEST Midget Race Official should contact Phil DiMario who will provide more details and schedule interviews. The decision as to who will fill the positions will, ultimately, be in the hands of the ARDC Board of Directors. However, Phil and ARDC's Vice President, Ron Lauer, will field all of the candidate information. Phil DiMario can be reached during the day at (914) 353-1115 or evenings at (914) 365-0914. His mailing address is 347 Ferdon Avenue, Piemont, New York 10968-1203.
