TINCKNELL BOUND FOR TITLE AT BRANDS

CRS Racing's Harry Tincknell heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the final two races in the 2009 Formula Renault UK Championship. After a dream rookie season, the 17 year-old from Devon needs just one 14th place finish to secure the Graduate Cup title. Harry has an almost unassailable 58-point lead in the standings, which he has earned with 11 graduate cup race wins, four overall podiums and two overall fastest laps, including a lap record at Oulton Park.

All eyes will be on Harry when he takes to the grid for the start of the first race this Sunday at 1050hrs. Race two gets going on Sunday at 1715hrs. Although not in the hunt for titles the other CRS drivers are just as keen as Harry to end the 2009 season on a high so will be going all out for some good results at Brands Hatch.

HARRY TINCKNELL:

"My target for this season was to win the Graduate Cup and if I could score a couple of podiums on the way then that would be great. It's a good feeling to go into the last event with a 58-point lead in the Graduate Cup standings and sitting in fifth place in the overall championship. I can't wait to get out on the GP track in the Formula Renault. It looks just like Oulton Park, with some really undulating, quick and exciting corners out the back of the track. I nearly won at Oulton so hopefully I will adapt to the track quickly and be on the pace straight away. We raced at Brands Hatch on the opening weekend of the championship in April and I shocked everyone, including myself, by qualifying on pole for my first ever race and went on to finish second. I love Paddock Hill Bend, the first corner and Dingle Dell looks like an exciting corner on GP track as it is so fast, but blind on the exit so you never quite know whether you are on the track or off it till you get to the exit! First things first I have to make sure I get that 14th place in the first race to wrap up the championship in the first race. Hopefully I will be able to do that quite easily and my aim is to get on the podium again like I did at Rockingham last time out. It would be great if I could that top spot this season to repay CRS for all the hard work that has gone in to making this such a great season and will show everyone even more how much of a threat I will be for the full championship honours next season!"

JOSH SCOTT:

"I can't wait to race on the GP track at Brands Hatch as the last time I did that was in Formula Ford, back in 2007. The extra section of track makes it a fantastic circuit and I'm excited to be racing a car with wings there! The last couple of Formula Renault rounds haven't been great for me so I'm really looking forward to having a good race weekend."

LEWIS WILIAMSON:

"This will be a new one for me as I have never raced on the GP layout at Brands Hatch. Mind you, I hadn't raced at Donington before and I managed to get a podium earlier on in the season. I am going to pushing hard at Brands so that I can finish the season on a high. I just missed out on a podium at the start of the year on the Brands Indy track so I want to do it this time around. I think there will be some good racing this weekend, especially as the championship is tight at the top."

MICHAEL LYONS:

"After what has been a big learning curve for me this season I head into the last round with a few advantages which I am hoping to capitalise upon. Firstly I am one of only a few drivers in the championship to have previously raced on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands and second it is also my local circuit so I will be pushing extra hard for a good result in order to end my season on a high note. I really like the circuit and can't wait to have a go at it in some modern machinery."

EUAN HANKEY:

"I'm extremely excited about having the opportunity to race on the Brands Hatch GP circuit again; it's a fantastic circuit with magnificient history. I last raced on the circuit in 2006 where I started on the front row, so I hope this year will be a repeat performance. I'm just starting to understand the Formula Renault in the short time I've been in the car so I hope I can make another step forward for this weekend."
