JFormula Renault UK star Will Bratt heads to Donington Park National Circuit a week from now confident his Scorpio Motorsport team will provide him with the car he needs to open the second half of the season with a podium result.

As Scorpio's local track, the team based just down the road in Swithland, Loughborough, hopes are high of a strong performance from 18-year-old Will during the 11th and 12th rounds of the championship and he is very keen to return to the podium having recorded two top four results from the last three races.

The team is confident it has a good set-up for the next two rounds of the championship, which take place on 29th/30th July, and there will be the opportunity to test next Thursday, 27th July, in preparation of rounds 11 and 12 which will both be carried live on Motors TV.

"We think we should have a good set-up for Donington", commented Will, "So hopefully we stand a great chance of some good results. David (Epton; Scorpio team-mate) and I are both confident we'll be quick, so we're looking forward to it.

"I was very happy with fourth place at Croft and we had pretty good pace after we made some changes following the first race. I think to break into the top three would have been a bridge too far for us but at Donington I do feel confident we'll be closer to the outright pace. If we can get on the podium, it'd be fantastic."

The Adderbury-based star does enjoy racing at Donington Park and having tasted the winner's champagne at Oulton Park during the fourth round of the season, both Will and his Apotex Pharmaceuticals-backed team see no reason why more victories can't follow during what should be an exciting second half of the championship.

Will added: "I enjoy it at Donington, it's a great circuit to drive. Craner Curves are very good as you take them flat out but I think my favourite part of the track is the Old Hairpin, it's a really fast corner and a key part of every lap.

"I'm confident we can take another two or three podiums this year and if we have the pace to be among the top three then I know I can fight for another win. We had the pace at Oulton Park and won and I hope that'll be the same at Donington next weekend."

Pre-race testing will take place on Thursday, 27th July, with round 11 qualifying set to take place at 10.35 on Saturday, 29th July, and the round 12 session scheduled to start at 15.10.

Both races, which will be broadcast live on Motors TV, will be held on Sunday, 30th July, with round 11 expected to start at 09.10 and round 12 set to get underway at 14.20. The Motors TV coverage is available to Sky Digital viewers on channel 413 while NTL customers can watch the races live on channel 173.
