FIFTH ROW STARTS FOR PATRIZI AT SNETTERTON

Michael Patrizi has qualified 10th and ninth for Rounds 15 and 16 of the Formula BMW Championship at the Snetterton circuit in England today.

The Australian driver entered this weekend's round confident of a strong showing at the fast circuit, having tested there with success last month.

Unfortunately the West Australian could not get an ideal qualifying set-up for today's proceedings. As a result Patrizi will be in the midpack for the start of both races this weekend, but he is confident that the race pace of the #29 Motaworld Racing entry will allow him to improve his position and score some vital points towards his championship.

"We are lacking some outright pace here this weekend," said Patrizi.

"It's a little disappointing, because we tested well here and came here with confidence. But the whole team just lacked that little extra bit of pace for qualifying today and we've ended up in the wrong end of the top 10.

"Now we will put everything we have into race day and I am still confident for the races. Obviously the fifth row is not where we want to start but this season we have always shown good race pace come Sunday.

"We've made things a little tougher for ourselves but we are not done and dusted just yet and I'm confident things will improve on Sunday."
