Matteo Davenia experienced a positive start in the Swiss F.Renault 2.0 Championship at Dijon-Prenois. The 16-year-old Italian, based in Milan, cruised to a double points finish on the French racetrack, after entering a valuable collective test on the venue. After starting from row 5 on Race 1, Matteo ended up in 9th, but then demoted to 11th due to a red flag, that turned clocks back one lap. On Race 2, he recovered from 14th place on the grid to 11th.

Matteo Davenia, CRAM Competition

"It's been a positive weekend. After a really helpful test this week, we were a bit unlucky on race 1, when red flag waived forcing stewards to revert back to the previous lap's results. After a good qualifying session, where I sat up to 3rd place on old rubber, I started race 2 in 14th due to blocking, and I successfully recovered to 11th. I feel the team is working great and, with just some more experience, podium finishes could really come in our frame..."
