NEC starts full programme in Most with almost thirty cars

The Northern European Cup is about to head off to the Czech Republic for the sixth round of the 2010 season. For the second time in NEC's history, all twenty-eight participants will have the opportunity to race three races in one weekend.

The event on the Czech track starts on Thursday the 26th of August with the final testing day of the season. The teams and drivers can use this day to get accustomed with the track and to find the right set up for the weekend.

The Northern European Cup welcomes a relatively large number of visitors to the grid in Most. Four cars of the EUROCUP team Koiranen Brothers join the grid of the Formula Renault 2.0. Among those drivers is Kevin Korjus, former NEC driver and currently the frontrunner in the EUROCUP Formula Renault 2.0.

The Formula Renault 2000 adds new teams such as ACS Motorsport SE to the list, but also meets again with drivers like Richard Gonda and David Palmi. SL Formula and P1 Motorsport bring newcomers Picariello and Rinbom to the field.

As mentioned, the event starts off with a testing day of 4 hours on track on Thursday, completed with another 30-minute session on Friday. Saturday morning offers space to the qualifying at 11.20, followed by race one at 15.55 later that day. Races two and three are scheduled for 11.35 and 16.00 on Sunday the 29th of August.
