English: Ludwig extends his championship lead
A testday on thursday the 26th of August opened the 6th round of the Formula Renault NEC which is taking place at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.
During this intensive day of testing, Ludwig Ghidi had the chance to test a lot of things on his car and managed to have a steady top 3 finish in all sessions.
On Friday the Formula Renault Northern European Cup had 2 free practice sessions at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.Ludwig could benefit from the test sessions yesterday as he managed to come out on top in both sessions.
Ludwig is looking forward to tomorrow and hopes he can continue these positive results also in the qualifying and the first race of 3 in this Formula Renault NEC event.
The saturday began with the qualifying where Ludwig Ghidi finished in 3rd position being only 0.1 seconds behind the pole position.
After a bad start and avoiding the crash at the first turn Ludwig found himself in 6th position. As a result of the incident the safety car came onto the track for a few laps. At the restart Ludwig immediately overtook Sam Dejonghe (B) and on the next lap he managed to pass his direct championship adversary Mikkel Mac (DK). Later in the race Ludwig managed to close in on Liroy Stuart's (NL) car and overtake him for the 3rd place which he will hold for the rest of the race. Ludwig shared the Podium with Kevin Korjus (EST) and Jesse Laine (FIN)
On Sunday there were 2 more race left for Ludwig Ghidi in the 6th round of Formula Renault NEC at the Most Autodrom in the Czech Republic. In the first race Ludwig drove himself comfortably to a 3rd place, but was not entirely happy with the setup of the car, so he hoped for better in the 3rd and last race of the event. In the 3rd race Ludwig had a great start and was able to take the lead and to slowly drive away from the others. After some time the rain came and Ludwig spun his car and Kevin Korjus (EST) and direct championship adversary Mikkel Mac (DK) passed him to take 1st and 2nd place, Ludwig finished 3rd. All in all not a bad weekend at Most Autodrom where Ludwig extends his championship on Mikkel Mac to a 26 point lead.
