Two More FRV6 In 2004-2005 Eurocup and North America
ROME, Italy. March 1, 2004 - Eurointernational Group is pleased to announce its line up for the 2004 Formula Renault V6 Eurocup Championship. Italian drivers Giorgio Mondini and Stefano Proetto will be behind the wheels of the two FRV6 cars, entered by Eurointernational Srl for the 19 races of the 2004 Eurocup Championship, while Euro International Inc. plans to enter up to two more FRV6 in selected Eurocup races in preparation of the 2005 North America FRV6 Championship.
Giorgio Mondini has been the fastest in Misano, Italy and Paul Ricard, France official Renault Sport FRV6 tests, last November and December, while Stefano Proetto has been the fastest in wet conditions during last week tests in Magny Cours, France. Both drivers will be in Paul Ricard and Valencia for the next official FRV6 Renault Sport tests, and have just completed two days of private tests in Albacete, Spain under difficult weather conditions.
"The work and research started during the 2003 FRV6 season" said Team owner Antonio Ferrari" and continued during the winter start to show the first results with Giorgio and Stefano performances. Their talent will make both top contenders for the 2004 FRV6 title. We are planning to add up two more new FRV6 during this season for selected Eurocup races and then bring the cars in USA in preparation of the 2005 North America Formula Renault V6 Championship "
Giorgio Mondini, 23, 7th in the 2003 FRV6 Championship will be behind the wheels of # 7 IPS/Grapeking/ACM/Cioe'/Boss/VIP/Eurointernational Tatuus 2004 FRV6 and is at the second year with the Team " I am looking forward for the 2004 season, to continue working with my crew and my new teammate. The new car is fantastic," said Mondini.
Stefano Proetto, 18, veteran of the F3 Euro Series and German Championship will drive the familiar # 50 Rotter Invest/GNI touch/Lista/Top of Sports/ Eurointernational Tatuus 2004 FRV6, is rookie in FRV6." In wet conditions I feel ready for my FRV6 debut and I hope that my next tests will be on dry weather allowing to complete the work with my new Team," said Proetto.
The 2004 Formula Renault V6 Championship will start in Monza, Italy next March 25-28, with all races televised on EUROSPORT in over 50 Countries around the World.
