CRS RACING APPOINTS MANAGING DIRECTOR
These are exciting times for CRS Racing. After a strong debut season in 2008 and another good year of competition in 2009, CRS has big plans for the future. All will be revealed in good time but the first piece of the puzzle has just been put in place with the appointment of Mark Busfield, the new CRS Racing Managing Director.
Mark joins the team from the RML Group where he was Project/Team Manager for the Chevrolet FIA World Touring Car team. With a CV spanning 25 years in the race and rally industry, Mark is well placed to lead CRS to the next level.
"This is great opportunity for us to step up a gear at CRS," commented Mark. "The team has an excellent track record, a state-of-the-art technical centre and a solid infrastructure. That combined with my experience and the passion to succeed of Chris Niarchos and Andrew Kirkaldy, means we can take CRS into the wider motorsport arena."
"CRS is on the threshold of revealing extensive plans for 2010 and beyond," said Team Principal, Chris Niarchos. "As a team we have come a long way in a very short space of time. Next year we will enter two, if not three, international championships and two domestic championships. In addition to this we are working hard to establish ourselves as a high level technical partner in some exciting motorsport projects. We needed someone with extensive experience in this arena and that is why we chose Mark Busfield."
Mark will take up his post at CRS on 1 December.
