EU 2.0: Provisional 2011 entry list announced

Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0

31 cars invited for 2011

The World Series by Renault Organizing Committee has pre-selected 10 teams to make up the field for the forthcoming Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season. A proven hotbed for championship-winning talent, the Eurocup Formula is now entering its fifteenth year of existence and remains part of the World Series by Renault.

Unanimously recognized as a great way of channelling the progress of the F1 stars of the future, the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 is set to grow in strength in 2011, with at least ten teams entering between two and four Formula Renault 2.0s each, giving a total field of 31 cars. The very international nature of the category is confirmed once again with the teams hailing from nine different countries.

Existing Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 participants Epsilon Euskadi, Koiranen Bros Motorsport, MP Motorsport, One Racing and Tech 1 Racing will continue to compete in the World Series by Renault in 2011 while the Fortec Motorsport team makes its return to the discipline.

Loyal to its policy of remaining open to new talent, the Organizing Committee has also pre-selected four new teams: Keo Racing, which already put in a remarkable appearance in the 2010 Eurocup, Josef Kaufmann Racing, a team that has been setting the benchmark in single-seater racing in Germany, KTR, a former Formula Renault 3.5 Series entrant, and R Tech Grand Prix, a new French team built on solid foundations.
