Due to a big confusion on the start of the Anderstorp Grand Race planned at 11.20, the race has been postponed to 5.00 pm.

Jose Maria LOPEZ took a tremendous win by 14 seconds over championship leader Neel JANI. With this 2nd consecutive win and second hat trick of the year (pole, fastest lap, win) LOPEZ, only 20 years old, takes the 2nd place in the Championship 10 points only behind the young Swiss.

From pole position LOPEZ kept the lead and drove perfectly until the end of the race, setting the fastest lap on the last lap of the race. "I am delighted, this was the perfect race. We have worked a lot since the beginning of the week end to stay competitive. I drove very safe, the big priority was to bring the car to the finish. MELO tried to pass me on the straight after the start, he took the outside line, braked too late and went off. I had a big confidence with the car and it has been quite easy to build a good gap. The team did a perfect pit stop, I want to thank all the guys, everything was perfect. Now I have to focus on tomorrow's race, there will be a big pressure on the start and it will be important to keep first position."

Jean Paul DRIOT said : "Jose impressed me a lot today. His driving was so quick, without any mistake, I really want to congratulate him, he is and great driver. We are getting close in the championship, the team is doing a very good job, but we must keep attention as we have another race tomorrow. Christian MURCHISON had the potential to reach the podium. It is a shame he stalled on the start, but his lap times were as good as the leading cars, and he made a good recovery by taking 7th place from 15th on the first lap. I expect a very good result from Christian tomorrow, he is a quick driver, and we can expect to close up to Signature in the Team's Championship with his help."

As explained by Jean-Paul DRIOT, Christian MURCHISON lost the benefit of his 5th place on the grid during the start. "This was my first bad start of the season. I am very disappointed. The red light stayed on for a long time, too long I think. At this time I had a warning light as the temperature was increasing, I watched my dash board which made me loose a little bit my concentration, and they turned off the

red light at this moment. I stalled, I started my engine and went but I was already 50 metres behind the last car. The rest of the race was quite good, the car was OK, the pit stop was good, but from the last place it was difficult to do better that 7th place, even if I was catching HALL, it was to short to take 6thposition.
