Antoine Bessette put up a good performance in Formula Renault 2000 at Winter International Series in Sebring.

Competing with 25 drivers coming from Europe, South america, United States, Australia and Canada, Antoine, driving for Team Autotecnica, put up an excellent performance according to Richard Spenard, who acted as his coach for the week-end.

Through all four practice sessions and two qualifying sessions, Antoine showed his speed by putting on the board one of the best times at each session. In fact, his best time was second and his slowest seventh.

In the first race, starting in sixth position, he finished fourth and he was on the move to go by italian driver Juan Martin Ponte for a spot on the podium. Antoine was the best canadian driver.

In the second race he started seventh after a more difficult qualifying session. He was running sixth and was progessing when he was hit by an other driver's car. Although disappointed, Antoine is all pumped up for the next three races at Homestead, Florida.
