Draco Racing are glad to announce Pietro Fantin as the first signed driver for their 2014 F.Renault 3.5 campaign: the decision to reach an agreement with the young Brazilian talent was made after he boasted convincing performances in both the post-season test sessions he took part in with the team owned by Guto Negrao, in Barcelona and Alcaniz.

Constantly improving, Pietro was a steady presence in the top ten and after such a progression the team just felt that going ahead with him was a natural choice. Born in Curitiba on November 28, 1991, Fantin comes from a good debut year in F.Renault 3.5, a season in wich he managed to finish into the points four times.

Before that, he was a frontrunner in the British F3 Championship (2011 and 2012) and entered some European F.3 races too as well as the renowned Macau GP.

Guto Negrao – Team Principal: “Being able to fulfill Draco’s tradition of signing Brazilian drivers makes me really happy. Fantin is talented guy who showed a lot of promise in the testing he did with us, he has a professional attitude that we don’t see often in young drivers. He immediately got along well with our staff, and in each technical briefing he listened carefully to each and every discussion, looking for details that could make a difference. We surely started on the right foot, now we hope that we’ll be able to carry that momentum in the 2014 season. Concerning the driver for the other car we are currently evaluating a few options, but expect his name to be announced soon”.
