Alx Danielsson signs with Comtec Racing
Alx Danielsson and British outfit, Comtec Racing, join forces for this years World Series. Comtec Racing will make its debut in this years World Series, while Alx took part in last years series, with a second place in Bilbao as his best result of the season. Alx, whose last season got hampered by a severe accident in the season opener at Zolder, is looking forward to working with Comtec:
"We had a GP2-deal that fell through in the last minute and it all looked a bit dark and gloomy until this opportunity arrived," says Alx. "Comtec is a great team with a good pedigree from other categories. They have no other intention than to be a winning team. I am very impressed with their preparations for the upcoming season and this will actually be an even better opportunity for me to advance my career."
Comtec Racing might be new to World Series by Renault, but their staff comes with plenty of experience from other high level categories in motorsport.
"I am looking forward to working with great names like Roly Vincini, my engineer for this season, and Martin Donnelly, who I have only heard good things about," says Alx. "They have a tremendous experience between the two of them, that I am sure will benefit my development as a driver."
Jonathan Lewis, team principal of Comtec Racing, has had an eye on Alx for a long time.
"I have followed Alx's career with a keen eye, ever since he took pole position from our guys at the Formula Ford festival at Brands Hatch. It was an easy choice to make when Alx suddenly was available. We have tremendous respect for his abilities and we are really looking forward to this season."
The announcement of Alx Danielssons signing with Comtec comes hot on the heels of a new sponsorship deal between Alx and one of the worlds leading gaming companies, Safepay who owns and operates the sites, EuroPoker.com, PokerRoom.com, HoldemPoker.com, CasinoRoom.com and PokerAffiliate.com.

Alx Danielsson will have his first opportunity behind the wheel of his new car, together with Comtec Racing, at the next official World Series-test at Barcelona, in 22nd of March.
