Canadian driver Raphael Forcier will race in the inaugural season of the FIA-sanctioned United States Formula 4 series, having signed with Group-A Racing.
Forcier, 16, will pilot the #62 Parizeau Pawulski Architects Formula 4 machine in the five-round series.
The Montreal native made the step up from national-level karting in 2015, joining the Skip Barber Winter Series.
He won in his sixth race in the series and posted four more consecutive podium finishes to claim fourth overall in the standings.
“I am very grateful to have a seat with Group-A Racing for the opening season of the FIA U.S. Formula 4 Series,” said Forcier.
“I am really excited to be working with [team boss] Jonathan Scarallo and my engineer Ian Brown. I am looking forward to achieving success throughout the season with great teamwork.”
Group-A contested the inaugural season of Formula Lites (SCCA's next class up) in 2015, with both drivers scoring wins.
